Día de Muertos celebrations take place throughout the Mid-South

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – It’s a celebration of loved ones who have passed away!

On November 2, many came to Overton Square to celebrate Día de Muertos.

This is the 8th year of the Memphis celebration in collaboration with the Brooks Museum.

There were families, children of all ages, all dressed in traditional clothing.

To add to the festivities, the Christian Brothers band performed while the Memphis Police Department led the parade!
