The beautiful weather continues, see how long it lasts

Happy Thursday, Idaho

There aren’t many changes today, it’s a copy-and-paste prediction! Pack your good coat and some clothes, head out the door and a hot cup of tea. If you didn’t have a moment to enjoy the sun yesterday, I encourage you to get outside today!

You won’t notice many changes in the weather forecast heading into the weekend, apart from a slight increase in temperature. An area of high pressure is building above us, causing a temperature inversion. This process will keep temperatures in the 50s throughout the weekend. Good news is that if you’re going to the Boise State game, we don’t expect rain, but you’ll want to keep the jacket with you!

As we move into the next work week, we can expect a more active weather pattern to develop. Various cool and wet systems will pass. If you’re passing by the Valley floors, I’d expect you to grab the Umbrella on Monday!

If you are along the mountains, you can expect a mostly dry weekend. Still, snow showers will take up most of the next week. Snow levels will generally remain between 1,500 and 7,000 meters for the first system, then drop towards 4,000 on Monday and Tuesday.

This means you expect good snow to come your way!
