Pokémon Go Harvest Festival – Events and Research Guide

As autumn gives way to winter, Pokémon Go is hosting its annual Harvest Festival event with plenty of rare Grass-type Pokémon encounters, research and collecting challenges with special rewards.

The Pokémon Go Harvest Festival runs from November 7 at 10 AM local time to November 12 at 8 PM local time and will focus on specific Grass-type Pokémon such as Smoliv and Pumpkaboo, including the introduction of Shiny Smoliv for the first time. Now get ready to complete all new Timed Research and Collection Challenges to pursue the Pokémon you want.

There are two different sets of Research available for the Pokémon Go Harvest Festival.

Thanks to new field research, you can encounter Smoliv and Pumpkaboo more often. A set of Premium Timed Research, focused entirely on Smoliv, is also on sale for $2. Here’s a guide to both:

There are five different collection challenges live for the Harvest Festival event.

Each Collection Challenge requires you to catch a specific set of Pokémon, although most in this event focus on different Pumpkaboo sizes. Once you complete a collection challenge, you can claim your rewards.

Pumpkaboo (Super) is a rare encounter in the wild during this event, but you can find them more easily with Mossy Lure Modules.
