Veterans Day celebration and swing dance will be held on Monday | News, sports, jobs

A Veterans Day celebration and swing dance begins at noon Monday at the Best Western Starlite Village, 1518 Third Ave. NW. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at 12 noon. There will be a guest speaker on the bridge project at 1 p.m., followed by live music from the 1950s and 1960s by Maurice Jules at 1:30 p.m. The Michael Lyon Jazz Quartet will perform with a swing band and dancing at 3 p.m. Kriss Karr will perform classic rock and music from the ’70s from 6 p.m. Free will donations are accepted and all proceeds will go to the Fort Dodge Veterans Bridge Project.
