In one particular case, they tore into a wall to find what looked like an old oven, surprising internet users.

“Someone tell me what I discovered,” they wrote in the video’s text overlay. It features a black metal appliance that appears to have a door and a tank, surrounded by old-fashioned brickwork that has been covered over by previous owners.

“Hopefully TikTok can do its magic thing: it can find the right people who know the right things and someone can give us some answers,” the video poster says. “Really, I don’t know 100 percent what I’m looking at.”

The TikTok user has renovated the Victorian Post Office and Postmaster’s House and documented the progress on the video sharing platform. In addition to the main post office, the building also contains what used to be a hair salon, a storage room and the old living quarters.

Respond to @Matt/me, what about this?? It’s become a cream pipe rabbit hole The pipe runs outside this huge mystery “no space” of our floor plan, so of course TikTok forced me to go in and see what was behind the shelves! I’m a DIY kind of girl so I’m a bit afraid of ruining something Victorian if I touch it Can SOMEONE please tell me what this is and who the Right Brothers Leicester are? I’ve tried researching them but I think someone who is a better fact gatherer might do a better job the house was built in the 1870s, near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire #diyproject #creampipe #fypp

“The pipe runs outside this huge mystery ‘no space’ on our floor plan, so of course TikTok forced me to go in and see what was behind the shelves!” they said in the video’s caption.

On what appears to be the old oven, the user will see what appears to be “Wright Brothers Leicester”. However, they can’t be sure because they didn’t want to tear down the entire wall “unattended.”

Many TikTok users shared their thoughts and theories about this person’s discovery in the comments section of the viral video.

“Looks like a Victorian oven, early 20th century. It would have been used for heating and cooking the whole house, it is probably an integral part of the structure so may not be removable,” says Hannah Betty.

“You need to recover. It would be a great feature,” @trialtribulations shared.

Jim Jiminy commented, “Defo looks (definitely) like a stove oven in the middle, a boiler on the right and I’m starting to think the room behind might have been a smokehouse for drying meat.”

“What a beautiful feature you have discovered! It deserves to see the light of day!” Lee said.
