Police officers will hold regular cycle marking events to deter thieves after a successful session at March train station

Last week, police officers spent some time at the March train station offering bike marking to everyone who was there.

A tamper-resistant sticker was placed on the bicycle, which visually deterred thieves.

Police say it is important to mark your bike because if the bike is stolen and then recovered by officers, it is more likely to be reunited with its owner as it will be registered in the national bicycle database.

A spokesperson for Policing Fenland said: “We will be holding these cycle marking events regularly in the area, so keep an eye out for information on where we will hold these events in the future.”
