Social media is reacting to the Sexiest Man Alive choice

John Krasinski does emerged victorious as People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2024 — and social media users have a lot of thoughts about it.

Krasinski, 45, is best known for his role as Jim Halpert on NBC’s The Office. He is also a producer, director and writer and has been married to actress Emily Blunt since 2010.

People’s choice came as a surprise to many users on Platform X, who shared their reactions after the announcement Tuesday night on the Late Show with Steven Colbert.

Many expected actor Glen Powell to capture the title after his performance as Tyler Owens in “Twisters” this summer.

Previous honorees include Patrick Dempsey, Chris Evans, Idris Elba, David Beckham, Bradley Cooper, George Clooney and Matthew McConaughey, People said.

Before the decision was announced, People published the results of its 2024 Readers’ Choice Poll, which included several categories. Krasinski didn’t appear on the list, but these 15 did:

The guys from the hit sitcom ‘New Girl’ – Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris and Damon Wayans Jr. – reunited for photos.

Record producer and songwriter Benny Blanco also posed for the issue, and people online mistook him as the official choice before Krasinski was announced.
