Hezbollah says it has launched an attack on the military base in Tel Aviv. No sirens were heard in the city

CAIRO – Lebanon’s Iran-linked Hezbollah said Wednesday it had launched its first drone attack on the Hakirya military base in Tel Aviv. However, no warning sirens were heard and there were no immediate reports of any impact in a busy area of the border town.

There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military on Hezbollah’s statement and no warning sirens were heard by a Reuters reporter in the city or reported by the military in Tel Aviv.

Hezbollah had made no further statements about an eventual outcome about an hour after it first reported it had launched the attack.

The base, the military and government center in Tel Aviv, houses the headquarters of several military entities, including the War Cabinet.

It is located in a busy area of the city, next to a large shopping center and a train station. REUTERS
