What Gonzaga’s Mark Few Said After Win vs. UMass-Lowell

After back-to-back wins over Big 12 opponents and a rematch against San Diego State on the horizon, Gonzaga men’s basketball The team had to keep its mind focused on the task at hand Friday night, which was taking care of business at home against an experienced UMass-Lowell squad.

“(UMass-Lowell) had our full attention. I think these guys are going to have a good season. I think they’re ready to challenge Vermont. We know what he’s capable of when he steps into a role like that. But he’s done a really good job (Quinton Mincey).(Mincey) is a good player, man and someone they look at to score, drive, shoot it and pull our guards back I thought (Battle). did a good job and took that thing and it didn’t affect his offense either.”

They’re going to be very, very physical. They’re going to be big are around the rim. So our bigs are really going to have to be strong enough to get to their moves and get to their shots, and then they’re just really opportunistic the offensive end they’ve done a good job that (Jaedon Ledee) really has us hit us and hurt us. This year (Miles) Byrd has shot the ball well from 3 and (BJ) Davis has been in their program. So it’s going to be a tough, tough game in a great environment.”
