Cable thieves strike again in Park Rynie

There has been another case cable theft in the Umdoni area.

This was in Alkins Drive, Park Rynie and it is the second time this year that cables have been stolen from this road.

The first incident took place on September 2, while the more recent theft took place at the same location last Friday.

The next day, technicians were on site to restore power.

Other cases of cable theft in the area occurred in Scottburgh on August 8 and June 20.

Residents are still outraged and wondering why nothing has been done to prevent these crimes from happening again.

In addition to cable theft, this stretch of road has been experiencing power problems for months.
