Thieves steal CCTV DVR during a break-in at a Rewa store

Bhopal: Thieves targeted a car decoration shop in Rewa, not only stealing goods but also taking the CCTV digital video recorder (DVR) to protect their identities.
The burglary took place at Naved Siddiqui‘s shop in Transport Nagar during Friday night.
According to Civil Lines police, the thieves entered the store by using ropes to climb onto the roof, from where they entered and made off with several items, including the DVR that recorded footage from the store’s security cameras.
A report has been filed and the police have started an extensive investigation. Authorities are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the perpetrators.
Sources said the shopkeeper had installed CCTV for security reasons and monitored his store through a mobile app. When he opened the app on Saturday morning, he noticed that the cameras were offline, which raised his suspicions.
He immediately sent an employee to check the store, where the theft was confirmed.
