Woman arrested for theft in multiple states, accomplice convicted of same attack last year

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) – Tonight, a New Orleans woman is in the Santa Rosa County Jail, accused of committing a multi-state crime wave, stealing thousands of dollars worth of fragrances.

Investigators say Monique Sandifer was part of a shoplifting ring that hit Ulta Beauty stores in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama and Florida.

According to court documents, Sandifer and others stole more than $77,000 worth of fragrances.

Investigators said they were able to track down Sandifer as one of the suspects after she tried to sell the stolen fragrances on her social media.

Sandifer is charged with several charges, including organized trafficking in stolen property, eluding and theft, according to jail records.

Court records show the crime spree actually began in 2022.

After some digging, FOX10 News learns more about one of Sandifer’s alleged accomplices. Court documents show that Andrelle Weaver was arrested in December 2022 and she was also accused of stealing fragrances from Ulta Beauty stores along the Gulf Coast.

Court records show Weaver was found guilty and convicted by a judge in December 2023 of organized property trafficking and resisting an officer. She was placed on probation and ordered to pay restitution in monthly payments to Ulta Beauty. She was also ordered to have no contact with Ulta Beauty stores.

Jail records show Weaver was released from the Santa Rosa County Jail last January.

Meanwhile, court records show Sandifer is scheduled to appear in court on December 19.
