Black Friday was yesterday, but the great Sony A95L QD-OLED TV is even cheaper today

If money were no object (oh, dreams!), the Sony A95L is the TV I would buy. It marries the very latest QD OLED technology to bring Sony’s signature image authenticity to dazzling effect. It’s also the most stylish TV out there and, by television standards, sounds fantastic.

And also already Black Friday yesterday, both the 55-inch and 65-inch versions of this great TV just received additional discounts. So now you can buy the 55-inch Sony A95L for £1889 at Sevenoaksand the 65-inch model at the front £2599 at Sevenoaks.

You’ll need to be a member of ‘Rewards by Sevenoaks’ to get those prizes, but signing up is quick, free and, in my opinion, well worth it: those are new discounts of £105 and £100 respectively, and I doubt either TV will do become cheaper for Cyber Monday.

In our review, we described the 65-inch A95L as a “stunning TV” that can be “stunningly bright and produce incredibly vibrant colours”, helping to recreate TV shows and movies more accurately than most competitors. It’s no slouch when it comes to audio either, with a 2.2-channel actuator-based sound system that vibrates the screen to create sound.

Sony’s A95L features four HDMI inputs: two meet 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 specifications and one port is dedicated to eARC connections with sound bars or AV receivers. Dolby Atmos is also supported as a compatible audio device (Dolby Atmos soundbar or AVR) is connected.

As you’d expect, the A95L supports a range of streaming apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime VideoApple TV and Disney+. It also supports 4K/120Hz, VRRAnd ALL – great news for gamers – and a range of HDR formats such as HLGHDR10 and Dolby Vision. We’re still waiting for support for Dolby Vision Gaming, which will hopefully come later.

You also get a Bravia CAM camera included with the TV. This device snaps onto the top edge of the TV and provides access to a range of smart features such as video calling, picture optimization and sound optimization based on where you are in the room.
